SB-6750 SurfacePRO Premium is a proprietary two-part water reducible, clear, aliphatic urethane sealer and joint sand stabilizer. SB-6750 is specially formulated with an antifungal designed to help inhibit the growth of mold, moss and algae on the sealer film when applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces. SB-6750 is a multi-use product: it deeply enhances with a gloss finish producing a luxurious wet look, provides great surface protection and joint sand stabilization. This product can be used inside and outside on old and new surfaces. Optimal results when performing same day cleaning, sanding and sealing with SB-6750, can be achieved when following the recommended application process. SB-6750 provides a non-yellowing protective layer on the surface that is extremely durable and resistant to mild acid, alkali, chemicals and salt attacks. SB-6750 will increase the stain resistance of the surface and allow easier cleaning, maintenance, and extended wear. On new concrete, mortar, grout or overlays, it is recommended to wait 7 days before applying SB-6750 to allow for curing. SB-6750 is a water-based two component product that requires mixing and dilution. Once mixed, it has the consistency of water and is milky white when applied and dries clear. Cured sealer is freeze resistant to -60°F (-51°C) and is stable up to a temperature of 180°F (-51°C).

Suitable Surfaces

Ideal for concrete and clay pavers, flat and stamped concrete, or natural and manufactured stone. Also suitable for masonry, retaining walls, porous or unglazed tile and terrazzo. Recommended for high traffic areas where high durability and superior chemical resistance is desired. NOT recommended for marble, granite, ceramic tile or porcelain.

A test area is always recommended to determine product suitability and compatibility with your specific surface before use and also if desired results are achievable. Due to the inherent variability of natural stone and clay products, long term performance may vary. Please consult with us prior to sealing if there are concerns.

WARNING: Once applied, SB-6750 cannot be chemically stripped from the applied substrate. If removal is necessary, sand-blasting or other mechanical methods must be used. Use product at own risk.

TEST FIRST on a small inconspicuous area to determine the suitability and if desired results are achievable with this product on your specific surface. (Caution: product is difficult to remove.) The surface should be thoroughly clean and free from oil, dust, loose material and previously applied sealer. Remove and kill growth of any mold, mildew, fungus or algae prior to application of sealer. If needed, prepare surface with Surebond Cleaners before sealing. When using SB-6750 as a sealer without joint stabilization, it can be applied to a damp surface with no ponding or pooling of water present. For applications with joint stabilization, allow the surface to dry. Cover/protect nearby landscape, vehicles and buildings from overspray during application.

Preparation for Joint Stabilization

Surface must be dry for ease of installation. For optimal joint stabilization, the paver joints should be no more than ¾” wide and filled with dry correctly graded joint sand that meets the ASTM C144 standard. The top level of the sand should not exceed the bottom of the chamfer or 1/8” below the surface on non-beveled or tumbled paver surfaces. Compaction is recommended after sweeping sand into joints to minimize voids in sand joints. Use a vibratory compactor with neoprene pad or vibratory roller to consolidate the joints and. A leaf blower is recommended to remove dust, debris and fine particles from the surface before sealing. Do not use wet joint sand because it will severely diminish joint stabilization.

Full Kit Mixing Instructions

SB-6750 is a two-part product that comes packaged in a kit which contains 4 gallons of Part A and 1 gallon of Part B.

Tools Needed:

  • Variable Speed Drill
  • Paddle Mixer

Mixing Instructions:

Blend the container of Part B into the pail of Part A with a drill and paddle mixer on low speed for 1-2 minutes. Do not whip air into the mixture.

Pot Life: SB-6750 Mixture (combined Parts A and B) has a pot life of 90 minutes which varies based on temperature and humidity. Do not mix more material than can be used in a 90 minute period. Do not store SB-6750 Mixture. If less than the entire kit is needed, see Project Calculator for more information.

SB-6750 Dilution Instructions

The SB-6750 Mixture is a super concentrated sealer which requires water dilution dependent on desired sheen and joint stabilization.

Tools Needed:
• Variable Speed Drill
• Paddle Mixer
• One or Two Additional Clean Five Gallon Pails (Quantity varies based on desired dilution.)

Before diluting, use the SB-6750 Marking Label as a guide (found on Part A pail), mark D1 and D2 lines on all pails.

1:1 Dilution Ratio (D1):

Suitable on all surfaces to create a gloss sheen with great joint sand stabilization. Can also be used as a sealer without joint stabilization.

Yields 10 gallons of ready to use SB-6750.

Full Kit D1 Dilution Instructions:

  1. Pour half of the SB-6750 Mixture into one previously marked pail up to the D1 line.  Contents of both pails should be at the D1 line.
  2. Fill each pail to the top rib (1.5″ down from the top pail) with water.
  3. Using a drill with paddle mixer, mix on low speed for 1 – 2 minutes. Do not whip air into the dilution.

2:1 Dilution Ratio (D2):

Suitable on all surfaces to create a satin/semi-gloss sheen. Can also be used as a sealer without joint stabilization.

Yields 15 gallons of ready to use SB-6750.

Full Kit D2 Dilution Instructions:

  1. Pour approximately a third of the SB-6750 Mixture into each of the one previously marked two five gallon pails up to the D2 line. Contents of all three pails should be at the D2 line.
  2. Fill each pail to the top rib (1.5″ down from the top pail) with water.
  3. Using a drill with paddle mixer, mix on low speed for 1 – 2 minutes. Do not whip air into the dilution.

Apply when day and night temperatures are between 45°F – 95°F. To cool hot surfaces, mist with water without ponding or pooling prior to applying SB-6750. Avoid windy conditions to keep sealer spray from drifting. SB-6750 is a two part product: read and follow the Mixing and Dilution Instructions before applying. Use product coverage calculators to determine the amount of material required for the project; material coverage will depend on the surface type and its porosity. Apply SB-6750 after dilution with a low pressure, high volume sprayer such as an airless sprayer or hand held garden sprayer (pump-up). Do not apply too thick to avoid air bubbles in the sealer film. Saturate the surface to ensure proper penetration. Use a squeegee or foam roller to provide uniform coverage over the entire surface area and to remove excess sealer. For exterior applications with joint stabilization, the surface and joints should be flood coated using a low pressure, high volume sprayer following the coverage guidelines. Use a soft foam squeegee to direct excess sealer into the joints. It is recommended to back-roll to even out the sealer on textured or uneven surfaces to eliminate pooling. For optimal performance a second application should be applied. Second coat should be applied as soon as practical after the first application has visually cleared and is dry to the touch, which is usually within one hour. Second application must be applied prior to full cure (see Dry Time for more information). With interior applications, SB-6750 may be carefully sprayed or applied with a slit foam roller taking care not to roll back and forth excessively. NOTE: To minimize slipperiness on travertine, pool decks and very smooth surfaces, use an anti-slip additive with both D1 and D2 applications.

Dry Time

Surface will be dry to the touch in 1-2 hours assuming the air temperature is between 65°F – 85°F at 50% relative humidity. Low surface or air temperature will extend dry time. Protect surface from dust, rain, condensation and traffic while drying. Full cure will take 24 – 36 hours depending on weather and site conditions. Once surface has visually cleared and dried to the touch, area can be open to foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicular traffic in 48 hours depending on weather and site conditions.

Clean Up

For tools and equipment, use soap and water before product is allowed to dry.
