AllStrip, a broad spectrum sealer stripper offered in spray and gel formulas, is designed for removal of acrylic, acrylic latex and polyurethane and film-forming sealers. It can also be used as a spot cleaner to remove paint spots. AllStrip is recommended for outdoor use only. The spray formula is most effective on horizontal applications. The gel formula can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Allstrip’s Clean Rinse Technology allows old sealer and stripper residue to be quickly and easily rinsed away with a low or high pressure washer.  AllStrip, offered in both spray and gel formulas, is ready-to-use and should not be diluted. Not appropriate for use with penetrating sealers.

Suitable Surfaces

Suitable for concrete and clay pavers, flat concrete, masonry, natural and manufactured stone, segmental retaining wall blocks, concrete walls and exposed aggregate. Safe to use on surfaces in outside environments. Use caution on sensitive surfaces such as wet cast pavers and stamped concrete as it may cause damage to color of the surface. Not for use on asphalt. Test first to verify suitability and dwell time before stripping the entire surface.

AllStrip is compatible with most Surebond Film Forming Sealers. A test area is always recommended to determine product suitability and compatibility with your specific surface before use and also if desired results are achievable.

SureStrip Helpful Information

Preparation/Pre-Testing

Sweep and remove all loose soil and debris from the surface. Protect adjacent and surrounding surfaces not intended to be stripped from stripper, old sealer and rinse water. Caution: AllStrip will remove paint from painted surfaces. Spray water on adjacent plants and grass to limit potential absorption of stripper. Cover foliage with plastic sheeting or other proven protective material. It may be necessary to manage rinse water containing old sealer and stripper by reclamation to prevent run-off into storm sewer. Small scale projects can be dammed and residue removed with a shop vac. Large scale projects or large volume of residue can be removed with a reclamation unit. Do not allow stripper and sealer residue to enter pools because it may cause a phosphorous reaction which will turn pool water green.

TEST FIRST: Before using AllStrip, test on a small inconspicuous area following the application instructions to determine the suitability for removing the desired sealer from the surface. Allow test area to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results. Testing should confirm effectiveness of stripper and necessary dwell time.

AllStrip is designed to work with one application; however additional applications may be needed to completely remove some sealers. Do not dilute. For very difficult to remove sealers: It is recommended to apply a heavy coat of AllStrip-Gel Formula and let dwell for an extended period of time based on successful results from the pre-test.

Application Information

Use AllStrip when air and surface temperatures are 40° F or above. If freezing conditions exist, allow time for the surface to thaw. If air temperatures exceed 90° F, flash cool the surface with water before applying product. Do not allow product to dry on a hot surface. Rinse thoroughly while stripper is still wet on the surface. Always perform a pre-test (refer to Pre-Test Instructions). On large projects, it may be necessary to work in smaller more manageable sections.

Application Tools:  low-pressure high-volume sprayer (spray formula), 1″ nap roller (gel formula), clean stiff bristle brush or broom, cold pressure washer with 25° to 40° tip, flat surface cleaner attachment (optional)

Application Instructions:  Apply AllStrip-Spray Formula using a low-pressure sprayer. If surface is sloped, apply from bottom of slope working upwards using a side-to-side motion. When using AllStrip-Gel Formula, apply with a 1” nap roller. Allow AllStrip to dwell for 15 – 30 minutes. Do not allow AllStrip to dry on the surface during dwell time. If necessary, re-apply AllStrip to keep the surface wet with product. After dwell time, perform a test by scratching the sealer with a plastic putty knife to see if the sealer lifts from the surface. If sealer is gummy but not released, allow to dwell for an additional 15 – 30 minutes before re-testing. Re-apply AllStrip if starting to dry. Improve results by scrubbing surface with a nylon brush to agitate and remove sealer. Do not apply water to the surface until ready to rinse because the stripping process will be interrupted. Rinse surface thoroughly with a cold water pressure washer with a 25° to 40° tip or rotating nozzle, flat surface cleaner attachment or a garden hose with nozzle. Only use as much pressure needed to thoroughly clean surface. Excessive high pressures can damage substrate.  Keep stripper and sealer from entering pools. It may be necessary to do a secondary application process to remove heavier sealers. After stripping and rinsing, if necessary, clean the substrate with SureClean following the instructions for proper dilution and application. Before installing joint sand or sealing, allow surface to dry completely to ensure all previously applied sealer has been completely removed.

Clean Up
